Job Summary
Oversee daily jobsite operations as the on-site leader, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and at the highest standards. Coordinate subcontractors, verify their work, and track changes to manage project cost and scope while keeping the schedule on track. Monitor progress daily to address deficiencies early and uphold a zero-punch list mindset, specifically overseeing the installation, scheduling, and commissioning of MEP systems. Proactively solve challenges by working closely with project managers, trade partners, and owners to anticipate issues. Execute a smooth project close-out with a strong commissioning plan and turnover strategy. This role supports Granger Construction's mission to advance building through innovation and integrity in Mid-Michigan.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including installation and troubleshooting
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and directing subcontractors
- Clear communication skills to coordinate across project teams, subcontractors, and owners
- Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-driven- you don't wait for problems, you solve them
- Tech-savvy mindset and willingness to learn new construction management tools
