Job Summary

Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily construction activities from mobilization through project closeout at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Lead employees, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain schedule and productivity while conducting daily site inspections for compliance with contract documents, specifications, and safety requirements. Develop project schedules, review drawings and submittals, and resolve field issues by coordinating with the Project Manager, Quality Control Manager, and design team. Maintain daily reports on manpower, equipment, and production while enforcing OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and environmental regulations. Coordinate site logistics, material deliveries, and work sequencing to support efficient execution. Participate in preconstruction planning, progress meetings, and closeout activities with an active onsite presence.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five (5) years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar field leadership role on commercial, federal, or military construction projects
  • Valid driver's license
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction and First Aid/CPR certifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required site access, including applicable background and security requirements
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and successful project delivery
  • Walk, stand, climb stairs and ladders, and safely navigate active construction sites
  • Lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree in Construction Management or related field
  • Experience with vertical construction, renovation, and/or design-build projects
  • USACE and/or NAVFAC experience
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, field operations, and subcontractor coordination
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, EM 385-1-1, federal construction quality requirements, and safety practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
