Construction Superintendent

Job Summary
Oversee daily field activity, allocate resources, and supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors to manage projects from start to finish. Build construction schedules, coordinate job site meetings, and mediate between landlords and tenants while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safe job sites. Prepare daily field reports, weekly safety meetings, and punch lists, negotiating change orders and interfacing with inspectors, architects, and city officials. Drive cost-effective project management techniques and communicate consistently with office personnel, contractors, and building owners to ensure alignment with project documents and contract scope. Requires half on-site presence, constant communication with the Construction Project Manager, and proficiency in scheduling, quality control, and production of all construction phases.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Superintendent in the construction industry
- Preferred 5 to 8 years of experience in build-out construction
- Proficient in Windows operating systems and associated software
- Experience working on smartphones and tablets
- Excellent phone, email and communication skills
- Knowledge of local codes and construction practices
- Experience in scheduling, field supervision, quality control and production of all phases of construction
- Driver's License required
- Strong Computer skills (M.S. Office, M.S. Projects, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Smartsheet, Revit experience a plus)
- Ability to work with numerous contractors and sub-contractors in an efficient manner
- Must portray a professional appearance and positive attitude
- OSHA training is a plus
- Knowledge and experience in Construction Project Management
- College degree in Construction Management or Engineering is a plus
