Construction Superintendent

Job Summary
Supervise field construction activities by coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and trades to ensure projects complete on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards. Serve as the primary liaison with owners, architects, and engineers while managing daily scheduling, critical path expediting, and logistics. Lead Company field staff, conduct safety inspections, and maintain detailed daily records for billing and progress tracking. Resolve local area problems regarding procedures, design clarifications, and labor needs while managing labor relations and general conditions. Ensure all permits, insurance, and equipment warranties are current and compliant with OSHA standards and Healtheon safety codes. Maintain fiscal responsibility for labor and miscellaneous expenses while attending pre-construction and weekly progress meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of four years' related training
- At least eight years of building construction experience
- Equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the general and subcontract documents, drawings and specifications
- Understanding of construction means, methods and materials
- Understanding of line and grade and survey methods
- Knowledge of construction cost control
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- Computer skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite programs
- OSHA 30
- Security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Primavera scheduling
- Knowledge of CMiC project management software
