Job Summary
Direct daily field operations on multiple federal construction projects, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers to maintain schedule and productivity. Conduct site meetings, review drawings and specifications, and manage sequencing of trades while ensuring compliance with UFC requirements and contract documents. Monitor progress proactively, identify deficiencies, and lead corrective actions to support successful turnover and closeout. Promote a proactive safety culture by enforcing OSHA standards and conducting routine inspections. Serve as the trusted field representative for BSNC, building relationships with Owners, CORs, and stakeholders to communicate progress and solutions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED minimum
- Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial or federal construction projects
- Experience managing federal construction projects for agencies such as USACE, DoD, NAVFAC, GSA, or similar federal customers
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and construction trades
- Experience managing projects exceeding $500,000, including secure facility construction and interior renovations
- Strong understanding of commercial building systems including architectural, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and fire suppression systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- S. Citizenship
- Fluent in English; speaking, reading and writing
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to federal and military installations
- Must be able to lift approximately 40lbs alone
- Must be able to spend extended periods of time (up to 2-4 hours) on your feet or walking around a project site, potentially on uneven surfaces or within areas actively in construction
- Must be able to get to the project site on time, and under your own means of transportation
- Employment is contingent upon successfully completing any required background investigation
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Must obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required
- Must be able to obtain access to military installations
Desired Qualifications
- USACE QCM Certification
- OSHA Training
- Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Experience working within an SBA 8(a) federal contracting environment
- Existing relationships with subcontractors and suppliers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region
- Experience managing occupied renovations and secure government facilities
- Working knowledge of government systems: RMS, WebCM, Kahua, etc.
