Construction Superintendent

Job Summary
Oversee on-site construction activities for a heavy civil and demolition project in Raleigh, NC, serving as the primary field contact for the project team. Lead and coordinate daily on-site construction work, ensure work aligns with contractual documents, specifications, and quality standards, monitor safety and environmental compliance, facilitate weekly progress meetings with design teams and trade partners, maintain jobsite documentation (daily reports, JSAs, inspections), manage self-performed activities to meet budget and schedule, coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions, oversee punch list and project closeout, and maintain a safe, organized jobsite. Requires strong leadership, safety focus, and hands-on involvement with on-site crews, plus excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Project Superintendent
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in the construction industry
- OSHA 30 and CPR Certifications (preferred)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Strong computer skills, including construction management software, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and interpersonal skill to handle sensitive and confidential situations
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods
- Physical ability to navigate job sites and perform various tasks
