Job Summary
Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel to maintain workflow and productivity. Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications. Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and other documentation for on-site activities. Proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction. Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and company policies; conduct regular toolbox talks and safety meetings. Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents. Schedule and supervise critical path activities, ensuring efficient utilization of labor and materials. Collaborate with project managers to maintain project schedules and budgets, providing regular updates on on-site progress. Facilitate coordination between trades, ensuring work is sequenced and completed efficiently. Manage site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment allocation, and site organization. Conduct pre-installation meetings to ensure all parties understand the scope, schedule, and quality expectations. Monitor and enforce quality control standards, ensuring all work meets project requirements and client expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Over 5 years of construction experience
- Expertise in interiors, mechanical, civil, or utility services
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams on-site
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, subcontractors, and project teams
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure project accuracy and completeness
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with OSHA standards and regulations
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
- Proven ability to enforce safety protocols and foster a culture of safety on-site
- 5–7 years of on-site construction management experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare construction projects
- Additional safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, CPR)
- Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Office Suite, and scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera P6
- Experience in lieu of a degree
