Job Summary
Plan and organize work to maximize crew productivity by establishing staffing and work plans for each project phase. Supervise field managers, schedule manpower and equipment, and mentor them to lead crews effectively. Review job costs with the Project Manager and implement adjustments as needed. Demonstrate technical proficiency in heavy civil disciplines such as bridge, highway, excavation, or paving while inspecting construction to ensure quality standards are met. Coordinate with field managers, other superintendents, and the customer to implement successful project plans, maintaining professional relationships with owners and engineers. Follow the company safety program, including preplanning to identify exposures and reporting accidents. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, minimum 6 years of heavy civil experience with 2 years as a Superintendent, and OSHA 30 certification. Located in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 6 years of heavy civil construction experience
- At least 2 years of Superintendent experience
- OSHA 30 hour certification
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- Continuing education in construction
- Experience in multiple trade disciplines
