Job Summary
Serve as a dedicated spotter for heavy equipment and construction vehicles, directing operators using approved hand signals and verbal communication. Monitor blind spots and work zones to prevent accidents while controlling pedestrian and vehicle traffic around active operations. Set up and maintain barricades, cones, caution tape, and temporary safety signage to ensure safe movement throughout the job site. Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety policies, maintaining alertness and focus throughout the shift with cell phones strictly prohibited. Perform general labor and other duties as assigned, working independently and as part of a team in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Have a strong commitment to safety
- Be dependable and punctual every day
- Have reliable transportation to the designated shuttle pickup location
- Be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Be capable of standing, walking, lifting, and performing physical work throughout the day
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Complete all required safety orientation and training before beginning work
- Work well independently and as part of a team
- Be able to remain alert, focused, and attentive throughout their entire shift
