Job Summary
Certified Special Inspector responsible for verifying construction is completed in accordance with plans/specifications, performing inspections, sampling and testing, coordinating with clients and GTA Project Managers, documenting field reports, contributing to technical reports and inspection summaries, and mentoring junior staff.
Required Qualifications
- ICC Certifications (Soils, Masonry, Fireproofing, Structural Steel Welding, Structural Steel Bolting, Reinforced Concrete, etc.)
- ACI Certified Construction Special Inspector (CCS), ACI CCS, ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I, ACI/CRSI Certificate for Post-Installed Concrete Anchor Installation Inspector
- Special Inspection of Firestopping
- P.E., E.I.T, P.G., G.I.T.
- NICET Level I, II or III or IV (Geotechnical Engineering Technology Construction)
- NICET Level I, II, III, or IV (Soils Certificate in Construction Materials Testing)
- AWS or CWI
- American Society of Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT) Level II or III
- 2 - 5 years of relevant testing experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unaided and up to 100 lbs. with assistance; frequent bending, hammering and other repetitious movements
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe
