Job Summary
Perform tests and inspections for soils, concrete, asphalt, reinforced concrete, masonry, welding & bolting, fireproofing & firestopping, geotechnical investigations, and more. Read construction drawings and specifications and correctly interpret test results. Complete assignment accurately and in accordance with established standards. Record and report test results clearly, concisely, and communicate regularly with project managers. Complete field data records and reports daily. Prepare for and complete continuing education for certifications through the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and International Code Council (ICC).
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma required
- Degree in Civil Engineering / Technology, Geology, or related is ideal, although necessary
- ICC Certification for Special Inspector Category (reinforced concrete, soils, masonry, spray-applied fireproofing, steel & bolt or steel & weld) OR ACI Grade 1, OR EIT Certificate through State Board
- Valid driver's license
