Job Summary
Construction Site Supervisor responsible for coordinating with plant coordinators, steel delivery, steel deck, joists, hardware, and steel erectors; attend field meetings, review and clarify drawings with detailing/engineering; accept erection drawings and track acceptance; manage deliveries, material reception, and daily site reporting (Smartsheet); monitor schedules and progress, and maintain on-site records and hazard assessments. Requires reading structural shop/erection drawings, 3–5 years of site supervision, a construction journeyman certificate or diploma, strong organization and communication, proficiency with Google Workspace, and willingness to travel across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Required Qualifications
- Construction trade journeyman certificate or diploma
- Three (3) to five (5) years of construction site supervision experience
- Ability to read structural shop drawings, layouts and erection drawings
- Thorough understanding of industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities
- An autonomous results-oriented aptitude, with the ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge and understanding of construction schedules and Gantt charts
- Exceptional organizational abilities
- English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in computer system and software (Google Workspace)
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.)
- Ability to apply innovative and effective supervision and management techniques to maximize sub-trade performance
