Job Summary
Lead HVAC sheet metal installation by laying out ducts, sketching fittings, and reading architectural drawings to ensure smooth workflow with 4-5 crew members. Conduct quality control on inline mechanical devices against manufacturer instructions while managing crane, boom truck, and forklift rigging signals. Correct unsafe situations immediately, adhere to all EAS safety policies, and collaborate professionally with other trades to resolve conflicts. Work varying heat and cold conditions with noise levels at or above 90 decibels, requiring a high school education and five years of sheet metal experience.

- Able to work different areas at a time with 4-5 people in each group
- Able to lay-out duct for installation
- Able to look ahead to keep work going smoothly
- Good working attitude
- Adhere to all EAS safety policies and regulations
- Capable of spotting unsafe situations and correcting them as needed
- Able to sketch fitting for duct connections
- Knowledge of signals for rigging
- Setting HVAC equipment with cranes, boom trucks, lulls, and forklifts
- Knowledge of Welding
- Fabrication of supports for equipment
- Knowledge of Air flow of systems as far as—Supply; Return; Exhaust
- Able to do Quality Control to make sure that all HVAC inline Mechanical Devices are installed according to Manufactures Instructions
- Able to work with other Trades in a Professional manner
- Capable of reading not only duct work drawings, but Architectural drawings to locate rooms, ceiling elevations, columns
- Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
- Minimum of five (5) years of Sheet Metal experience
- Requires working in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
- Courses in construction safety are a requirement
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
