Job Summary
Construction Services Project Manager to lead municipal transportation/infrastructure construction efforts from our Crystal Lake, IL office. You will manage projects ranging from roadway reconstruction and resurfacing to bridge and underground construction, represent the firm with municipal clients, and coordinate with contractors and public agencies. Responsibilities include on-site observation, developing design recommendations, managing multiple projects, monitoring schedules and shop drawings, preparing payment estimates and change orders, maintaining project records, and mentoring junior engineers. Required qualifications include a B.S. in Civil/Construction Engineering (PE license preferred), 10+ years of construction engineering experience with IDOT/Tollway exposure, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to travel throughout the Chicago area. The role offers a competitive salary range of $100,000–$130,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Civil/Construction Engineering from an accredited program with an emphasis in construction engineering
- Professional Engineering License (preferred)
- 10+ years of proven progressive experience in construction engineering
- IDOT/Tollway experience required
- Project management experience with Local Agencies, IDOT, Tollway, Counties, etc
- Strong written, verbal, and computer skills
- Ability to travel throughout the Chicago area
- Experience overseeing staff in a supervisory capacity (preferred)
