Job Summary
Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas, maintain a professional presence in lobbies and control centers, and ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted locations. Observe and report suspicious activities, enforce safety policies, and assist clients with visitor access control while maintaining a positive demeanor. Be ready to respond to emergencies, including administering CPR/First Aid/AED care, and communicate with emergency personnel using proper protocols. Work varying shifts Monday through Sunday, with rates starting at $17.60. This seasonal role supports DK Security's mission to protect client properties across Michigan, requiring high school graduation and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent education certification, such as a GED
- Must be able to pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter (including for marijuana)
- Must not have been convicted of any felonies
- Must not have been convicted of any misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances (including for marijuana), or two or more alcohol related offenses
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk, including up and down stairs, for 8-12 hours at a time
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Must be CPR, First Aid, and AED certified (Child, Infant, and Adult), or willing to become certified and be physically capable of administering lifesaving care when needed
- Must be able to see clearly at least 20 feet away (assisted with glasses or contact lenses if necessary)
- Must be able to hear conversations in loud environments either in-person or via radio
