Job Summary
Conduct construction jobsite safety inspections and audits while assisting the Safety team with incident, accident, and near-miss investigations. Identify hazardous conditions, recommend corrective measures, and support safety training, testing, new-hire orientations, and PPE distribution. Deliver weekly Toolbox Talks, maintain safety documentation, and assist with company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements. Research safety-related questions and help develop solutions to safety concerns. This hands-on Spring 2027 or Summer 2027 internship involves regular travel to active electrical construction sites in Southeastern Wisconsin, where you will work alongside experienced professionals on major projects including the Milwaukee Public Museum and Harley-Davidson.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Safety, Safety Management, Construction Safety, or another closely related safety field
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Junior or senior standing
- OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Construction certification
- Previous construction/jobsite experience
- CPR/First Aid certification
