Job Summary
Represent GHD as the on-site primary liaison between the construction manager, Owner, and Contractor throughout water and wastewater facility construction. Provide on-site observation of activities, review products against approved submittals, and administer weekly coordination meetings with stakeholders. Coordinate third-party materials testing, oversee shutdowns affecting operations, and maintain redline drawings documenting final installed materials. Assist with contract closeout, schedule reviews, and acquire all certificates, submittals, and testing reports. Utilize web-based document management systems for daily field reports and change management. This part-time role requires 8-15 years of experience in water/wastewater construction and 90-100% field presence.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- 8-15 years of experience in general contracting, construction inspection and/or construction management, with a focus on water, wastewater, and stormwater projects
- Experience with reading and understanding construction plans and specifications
- Familiar with the current standards and specifications for Soil Erosion & Sediment Control
- Familiar with various construction means and methods of pipeline identification, tracing, pressure testing, and installation procedures
- Experience working with multiple subcontractors and demonstrated effective communication with clients, Owners and Contractors
- Strong computer skills with the ability to use multiple platforms and devices for documentation and communication, such as MS Word, Excel, and Teams and tablets, cameras, and mobile devices
- Able and willing to work in the field 90-100% of the time
