Job Summary
Construction Quality Manager role on a DoD/GSA project, located at the Hanley Federal Building in Syracuse, NY. The CM acts as the on-site GSA representative, leads QC activities, conducts daily site inspections, reviews drawings and submittals, tracks RFIs and schedule, manages change orders and payments, and supports project close-out and employee clearances. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering (or 5 years CM experience with CCM or 10 years with a four-year degree), along with strong communication, scheduling, and site-management skills. OSHA 30 preferred; federal/GSA experience preferred; US citizenship or permanent resident status required for client security. The role involves constant on-site presence and coordination with the GSA team.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years construction management experience with a CCM certification or 10 years experience with a four-year engineering or architectural degree and has successfully completed a construction project of similar scope and complexity (e.g., $1M Elevator renovation or replacement)
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering
- Preferred Certifications: OSHA 30 Hour Certificate
- Skills: Verbal and written communication; proficiency in scheduling/CPM software (e.g., Microsoft Project)
- Ability to climb ladders and navigate construction sites
- Federal experience preferred, particularly with GSA
- Strong attention to detail; ability to work within a team
