Job Summary
Manage construction quality control, supervise field operations, and lead site safety initiatives for federal projects. Create and manage Quality Control Plans, coordinate subcontractors, and conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance with USACE and OSHA standards. Develop project schedules, review submittals, and prepare detailed reports while mentoring specialists and maintaining organized job sites. This triple-hat role combines quality oversight, site management, and safety leadership to deliver exceptional results on mission-critical facilities across government-owned sites and defense environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 10 years of construction experience, including at least 5 years of combined experience working as a Construction Quality Control Manager (QCM), Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO), and Superintendent
- Experience working on projects with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and/or Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC)
- Demonstrated track record as a certified Quality Control Specialist/Manager on federal construction projects
- Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification or ability to obtain/renew
- 30-hour OSHA construction safety class certification
- Experience overseeing multiple projects and managing design teams through Design/Build project phases
- Strong proficiency in USACE Quality Control System (QCS) and/or Resident Management System (RMS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), with an emphasis on Excel
- Valid OSHA 10/30 certification
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification
- Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certification
- Willing to travel to other project locations
- Pre-employment drug testing, including marijuana screening
- Federal Background/Security Clearance Requirements
