Job Summary
Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) sought to oversee quality control activities on a federal construction project at West Point, NY. Responsible for ensuring compliance with contract requirements, project specifications, and applicable quality standards; administer the USACE Three-Phase Quality Control System; conduct inspections, meetings, and documentation reviews; manage submittals, testing reports, NCRs, and corrective actions; coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, testing agencies, and government representatives; monitor materials/workmanship and maintain quality records; support continuous improvement and ensure safety compliance. Requires U.S. citizenship, 5+ years QC experience on comparable projects, USACE CQM-C certification, and ability to read drawings/contract documents; degree in engineering/construction management/architecture preferred.
Required Qualifications
- S. Citizen (required for federal project requirements)
- Minimum of 5 years of construction quality control experience on projects of similar size and complexity
- Current USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification required
- Working knowledge of the USACE Three-Phase Quality Control System
- Experience with USACE Resident Management System (RMS) preferred
- Experience managing construction submittals and quality documentation
- Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 requirements and construction safety compliance
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field preferred
- ACI certifications are a plus
