Job Summary
Construction Quality Assurance Analyst supporting CBP border programs. Serve as a construction QA representative responsible for oversight of field engineering activities, safety and quality assurance, and review of contractor schedules, pay estimates, and progress reports. Prepare daily activity reports; provide guidance on safety, quality, and environmental BMPs; support the construction oversight manager and Government COR/PM; analyze plans and specifications, monitor work layout, and inspect ongoing work. Requires construction management background, strong communication, ability to travel to multiple job sites, and capability to work within a federal contractor environment. Qualifications include 3–10 years of experience (or equivalent substitutions), Bachelor’s degree (or substitutions), preferred certifications (OSHA 30 Construction, MEWP, CQM, EM 385-1-1), proficiency with MS Office and project management tools, and US citizenship for background investigation. Location: Big Bend, TX; travel may be required. Salary range: $90,000–$110,000 per year. EEO and security-clearance related notes apply.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field OR 6 years' work experience in lieu of degree
- 3+ years of construction oversight experience (surveillance, monitoring, and controlling construction) including horizontal construction
- Experience reviewing construction technical data for progress reports and processing pay estimates
- Ability to travel between job sites, if requested
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Autodesk)
- OSHA 30 Construction and other preferred certifications (MEWP, CQM, EM 385-1-1)
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass government background investigation
- Ability to enforce safety standards and environmental BMPs
- Team-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects and schedules
