Job Summary
Manage day-to-day construction operations by dispatching production teams, coordinating schedules, and overseeing approximately 5–10 active projects across residential, commercial, and institutional sectors. Develop scopes of work, prepare estimates, calculate material and labor costs, and monitor budgets to ensure projects complete on time and within scope. Conduct site visits, review quality standards, and coordinate subcontractors while resolving challenges and maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. Work 40% office and 60% field from Monday to Friday, supporting business growth through operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in construction, restoration, project management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of commercial and residential construction projects
- Experience in cost estimating, scopes of work, and budget management
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, timelines, and scheduling
- Proven ability to manage production teams, field staff, and subcontractors
- Experience handling multiple concurrent commercial projects (institutional, multi-unit, and specialty builds)
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer relationship skills
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
- Ability to coordinate trades and leverage subcontractor relationships
- Highly organized with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
- Comfortable working across both office and field environments
- 40% Office / 60% Field
- Local travel throughout the Ottawa region required
