Job Summary
Manage the full lifecycle of capital improvement, renovation, and construction projects across campus, including planning, budgeting, design, procurement, and closeout. Build collaborative partnerships with internal departments, consultants, and contractors while coordinating feasibility studies, bid documents, and contract administration. Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with codes and safety standards, monitor contractor performance, and lead value engineering efforts. Provide regular status updates to leadership and maintain project documentation for commissioning and turnover. This role requires on-site visits to active construction sites and occupied facilities, with a Monday through Friday schedule and occasional travel. Candidates must align with Moody Bible Institute's mission and Christian values.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience in commercial construction, renovation, or capital project delivery
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in active, occupied environments
- Strong understanding of construction methods, project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration
- Working knowledge of applicable national, state, and local building codes and regulations
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based collaboration tools
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and drive projects to successful completion

- This position is based on Moody Bible Institute's campus and requires a combination of office and field work
- The Construction Project Manager will regularly visit active construction sites and occupied facilities
- Physical requirements include walking, standing, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
- The role requires frequent movement throughout campus and project sites
- This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday
- Occasional travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with campus, institutional, higher education, healthcare, or mission-based facility projects
- Experience in space planning and familiarity with CAD software
- Working knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), and Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Experience with contractor procurement, estimating, project accounting, and value engineering
- Familiarity with classroom, conference room, and workplace technology infrastructure
