Job Summary
Lead complex, high-value design and construction projects for government facilities, overseeing all phases from planning through commissioning and occupancy. Manage customer expectations, project scope, budget, and schedule while providing technical expertise on building systems, codes, and life safety. Serve as the on-site project manager, resolving field issues and ensuring successful delivery through coordination with internal teams, A/E firms, contractors, and customer agencies. Prepare project management plans, track progress, and maintain accurate documentation to ensure projects are delivered on scope, schedule, and budget. Review design documents, submittals, and invoices while facilitating meetings and supporting a collaborative team environment. Travel to project sites for inspections, progress reviews, and technical evaluations as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Ten years of experience managing design and construction projects
- Extensive knowledge of building design, construction methods, and commercial building systems
- Ability to solve complex technical and project challenges
- Proficiency in project management principles, construction scheduling, cost estimating, reading and interpreting construction documents, and writing scopes of work and specifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously
- Advanced computer skills and familiarity with project management and estimating software
- Travel to project sites for inspections, progress reviews, and technical evaluations as required
