Job Summary
Construction Project Manager responsible for directing projects through all phases from start to finish, ensuring timelines, quality, and client satisfaction. Leads field crews, manages SOW, schedule, costs, and risk, and ensures clear client communication. Requires deep experience in heavy civil infrastructure, construction surveying, high-precision measurement, and on-site problem solving. Preferred credentials include OLS, P.Eng, or PMP; roles primarily based in the Greater Toronto Area with Richmond Hill home office. Salary range CAD 110k-140k with benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Heavy Civil & Infrastructure IQ: Deep understanding of how complex infrastructure is constructed, with direct experience surveying and managing highway paving projects, bridges, heavy and light rail, and watermains.
- Advanced Construction Surveying Experience: Specialized, hands-on knowledge in construction surveying layout, control networks, and high-precision measurement protocols.
- Field Crew Direction & Output Management: Directing multiple field crews on precise technical scope and actively managing field output, accuracy, and productivity.
- High-Stress & Fast-Paced Adaptability: Ability to navigate rapid, high-pressure requests and shifting priorities from demanding construction contractors.
- On-Site Solution Finder: Proactive problem solver who can identify discrepancies and resolve plan conflicts on-site to keep construction moving.
- Cross-Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of industries intersecting with surveying including municipal planning, civil engineering, and underground utilities.
- Humility & Leadership Self-Awareness: Ability to know when to refer to other Project Managers to ensure client success.
