Construction Project Manager I or II -High Voltage

Job Summary

Establish site-specific safety requirements and execute programs in partnership with the safety team. Develop a Project Execution Plan to facilitate contract management, resource planning, procurement, and critical path schedule tracking. Monitor financials through cost projections, change order logs, and invoicing while managing material and subcontract procurement. Submit monthly cost-to-complete projections and handle project closeout documentation. Communicate with contracting parties and owners regarding submittals, RFIs, and work plans. Review permits, licensing, and pre-construction estimates to identify strategies and risks. Build relationships within local marketplaces and manage project teams using systems like Procore or MS Project.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of Medium/High Voltage substation and transmission line construction industry experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Experience with Project Management systems, such as Procore, Build2Win, MS Project and/or P6 and, HCSS
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Comfortable with Microsoft processing tools including MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to read and understand contracts
  • Detail oriented, good organization skills
  • Ability to communicate well with others, both written and orally
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing project teams
  • Functional knowledge of job cost accounting
  • Thorough understanding of CPM scheduling
  • Must be capable of up to 75% travel (e.g. 3 weeks or 15 days per month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities
  • Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job

Desired Qualifications
