Job Summary
Lead large HVAC controls construction projects (valued at $3M+), serving as the primary on-site leader for execution teams, developing schedules, evaluating contract scope, and managing change orders. Drive profitability and cash flow, ensure on-time and within-budget delivery, and oversee cost estimation, subcontracting, billing, and client acceptance. Collaborate with owners, contractors, and internal teams to guide strategy, vendor/partner selection, scope enhancements, value engineering, and risk assessment. Maintain adherence to safety standards, project controls, and contract requirements, while communicating progress and financial status to management. Require travel (approximately 40%) and proficient use of MS Project and related tools; PMI/PMP certification is encouraged within two years.
Required Qualifications
- Six years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry
- Experience with Mechanical Retrofits, HVAC controls, BAS management, Fire management, and Security management systems
- Experience in healthcare industry
- PMI/PMP certification expected within 2 years
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture or an Associate’s Degree with equivalent work-related experience
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency with project management software and financial accounting systems
- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project), Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows
