Construction Project Manager

Job Summary

Manage each project assigned to secure favorable economic outcomes while driving a safety culture for incident-free performance. Provide initial client contact to assess scope, supervise total construction effort against design, budget, and schedule, and coordinate onsite functions including engineering, material control, and administrative staff. Lead claim negotiations, interpret drawings, recommend construction methods, and assume responsibility for overall project profit and loss. Initiate extra work estimating and change orders while administering subcontractors and reviewing cost reports. Requires five years of progressive project management experience in deep foundations and earth retention, with USACE QCS desired. Office-based role with occasional travel to project sites.

Required Qualifications

  • BS, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent Project related experience
  • Five years of progressive Project Management experience including direct supervisory experience in deep foundations and earth retention projects
  • USACE QCS System
  • Skilled in project controls software, including Excel, Microsoft Office/Project, Primavera (P6)
  • AutoCAD knowledge
  • Strong understanding of construction engineering, codes, standards, and cross-functional relationships
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to resolve complex contract issues independently
  • Highly motivated, safety-focused, ethical, and committed to doing quality work
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and sound decision-making abilities
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to drive on behalf of company business
  • TWIC card holder
  • In-Situ Stabilization project experience
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
  • Competent Person Safety Training
  • 8-Hour Supervisory Training
  • 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Frequent computer use
  • Effective communication
  • Occasional travel to project sites
  • Extended periods of standing or walking
  • Required PPE
  • Exposure to heavy equipment, chemicals, dust, fumes, uneven terrain, and extreme weather
