Job Summary
Oversee and manage capital construction improvement projects from concept to completion, including evaluating proposals, writing contracts, budgeting, scheduling vendors, and coordinating due diligence across multiple states. Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining project documentation, developing expenditure forecasts, and reporting to Acquisitions and Operations teams. Requires travel 30%-40% and frequent communication with partners, investors, and vendors, plus proficiency with construction management software and MS Office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of commercial or residential construction management experience with emphasis in facilities management
- Strong project accounting skills, including budget development, ongoing project cost monitoring and contract management
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite: Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, Project)
- Ability to travel to different states to oversee projects
- Ability and willingness to work remotely and in new environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and able to track progress on multiple concurrent projects
