Job Summary
Construction Project Manager to oversee retail grocery construction projects, coordinating with architects, contractors, vendors, and internal staff; manage bid analysis, pre-construction meetings, contractor schedules, change orders, payments, and procurement of owner-supplied fixtures and equipment; produce project/cost reports, conduct site visits, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on MEP systems integration; require 5+ years of commercial construction experience (retail grocery preferred), a bachelor's degree in a related field, and strong skills in budgeting, negotiation, CAD/PM software, and stakeholder communications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction projects, preferably in retail grocery
- CAD software for construction drawing review and interpretation
- PMP, CPC, or related certification preferred but not required
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Bluefin, Procore)
- Strong understanding of lease agreements and their impact on construction projects
- Solid knowledge of MEP systems management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong financial acumen for budgeting and expense management
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to safety and adherence to regulations
