Job Summary
Construction Project Manager responsible for managing projects from inception through close-out, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery while coordinating design reviews with CHA, Architects/Engineers, Consultants, and regulatory agencies. Accountable for project deliverables, budget and schedule management, scope development, and overall project coordination. Facilitates a total team approach to define scope and stakeholder deliverables, leads weekly meetings with consultants and on-site personnel, reviews contractor progress and invoices, maintains project records, and ensures adherence to contract documents and CHA procedures. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Architecture/Engineering/Construction Management or related field and at least 4 years of project management experience in construction or building maintenance, with OSHA 30-Hour certification (or obtained within six months). PMP and CCM certifications are desired. The role offers a hybrid work schedule with potential remote work following a 90-day probation period, located in Chicago, IL. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field or equivalent field/management experience
- minimum 4 years of responsibility in a project manager role for construction and/or building maintenance projects
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to project sites
- Minimum OSHA 30-Hour certification required or obtained within six (6) months of employment
- PMP and CCM Certifications desired
- Must be able to meet schedule and budget commitments in a dynamic environment
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local housing regulations and budgeting/accounting principles preferred
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient use of MS Office
