Job Summary
Lead all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and permitting through ground-breaking to commissioning and handover. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans while translating engineering requirements into facility specifications. Source and manage contractors, negotiate contracts, and oversee day-to-day execution to ensure facilities are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with mission needs. Coordinate with local jurisdictions to secure permits and approvals, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Provide regular reporting on progress, cost, and key milestones to leadership. Travel up to 30% to support active and upcoming site development projects.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management or site development
- Proven ability to lead fast-paced, ground-up construction or expansion projects
- Strong working knowledge of construction methods, contracts, permitting, and project controls
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities with minimal oversight
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly between project sites
- Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
- Must be able to travel up to 30%
- Must be able to lift more than 50lbs
- U.S. citizen or national
- U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder)
- Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157
- Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158
- Eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required U.S. Government security clearance or other government authorization
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, R&D, or industrial infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with environmental permitting or DoD compliance requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
