Job Summary
Oversee the execution and management of commercial construction projects, ensuring budgets are managed, safety standards are met, and all project activities are efficiently executed. Plan, execute, and coordinate resources to meet scope, schedule, and client specifications while monitoring cost reporting and accountability. Lead subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams through meetings and collaboration, enforcing workplace safety protocols and inspecting sites for quality assurance. Secure required permits, ensure alignment with building codes, and use Procore to track project data, RFIs, and approvals. Identify risks early and implement solutions to keep projects on track while maintaining strong client relationships. This full-time, on-site role requires 5–7 years of experience in commercial construction management and proficiency in CCDC contracts.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience managing construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and invoicing within the commercial sector
- Solid understanding of construction financials and cost management
- Strong proficiency in navigating, interpreting, and administering CCDC contracts, with a focus on CCDC 5B
- In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and practices
- Experience in construction management with proficiency in Procore and MS Project, and ability to lead diverse teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and teams
- Knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Project Management, Construction Management or a related field
- Additional certifications such as PMP or BCIN
