Job Summary
Manage pharmaceutical manufacturing construction projects up to $20M, overseeing budgets, schedules, safety, quality, and profitability. Lead subcontractor procurement, issue purchase orders, and approve billings while coordinating with superintendents to maintain critical path schedules. Develop rolling punch lists, prepare detailed scopes of work, and ensure compliance with GMP regulations and FDA guidelines. Establish document control systems, manage change orders, and conduct weekly subcontractor meetings. Provide leadership and mentorship to subordinate staff, develop client relationships for business growth, and prepare monthly status reports.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management
- Proven prior success at Assistant Project Manager level, or equivalent role
- Already operating in general at Project Manager I level
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the construction industry
- At least two (2) years in the position of Assistant Project Manager
- Sound understanding of essential job functions, duties, and responsibilities of Superintendent
- General understanding of Senior Project Manager
- Competence with computer requirements necessary for JDE profitability forecasting and reporting
- Planning and scheduling skills
