Job Summary
Manage pharmaceutical manufacturing construction projects up to $20M, overseeing budgets, schedules, safety, quality, and profitability while ensuring compliance with GMP and FDA guidelines. Lead subcontractor procurement, bid reviews, and payment approvals; prepare detailed scopes of work, execute formal agreements, and maintain rolling punch lists for zero-defect completion. Coordinate with engineering teams to integrate specialized API production equipment, manage change orders, and prepare monthly status and progress reports. Establish document control systems, attend weekly subcontractor meetings, and lead Owner/Architect discussions. Mentor subordinate staff and develop client relationships to drive business growth.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management
- Proven prior success at Assistant Project Manager level, or equivalent role
- Already operating in general at Project Manager I level
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the construction industry
- At least two (2) years in the position of Assistant Project Manager
- Sound understanding of essential job functions, duties, and responsibilities of Superintendent
- General understanding of Senior Project Manager
- Competence with computer requirements necessary for JDE profitability forecasting and reporting
