Job Summary
The Construction Project Manager oversees the successful completion of small to medium size projects, ensuring compliance with budgets, schedules, and quality standards. Major responsibilities include project leadership, developing and managing teams, proposal and estimate reviews, contract administration, and managing relationships with customers, subcontractors, and vendors. Successful candidates will have a four year technical degree and demonstrate effective leadership and project management skills, as well as the ability to review and negotiate contracts and change orders, schedule project activities, and enforce safety and quality control measures.
Required Qualifications
- Four year degree in technical discipline
- Ability to develop and manage teams
- Successful relationship with customer, owners, engineers, and vendors
- Experience with cost and productivity management
- Experience in contract administration
- Ability to manage change orders and scheduling
Desired Qualifications
- PMP certified or able to achieve certification within 1 year
- Demonstrated collegiate-level computer skills
- Mathematics and technical writing skills
- Understanding of engineering or construction principles
- Ability to forecast cost for self-performed work
