Job Summary
Construction Project Manager at AUCH Construction responsible for guiding projects from concept to completion with a focus on scheduling resources, managing finances, risk assessment, preconstruction activities, leading project teams, and driving business development. Travel is expected generally within a 90-mile radius of Pontiac, MI. Duties include managing the master budget, invoicing per contract terms, processing change orders, maintaining logs (EWO, Submittal, Procurement), monthly schedule updates, leading weekly/bi-weekly huddles and site visits, overseeing preconstruction, fostering client relationships to achieve 100% repeat business, and representing the project in owner/industry functions. Requires a Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, 5+ years PM experience in construction, 2+ years with construction systems/docs, strong cost control and risk management skills, leadership ability, and OSHA 30 Hour preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of proven experience in Construction Project Management within the construction management industry
- 2+ years’ experience with construction systems and documents
- Strong understanding and experience of construction project finances and budget management
- Proficiency in construction project preconstruction processes
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Business development and client relationship-building experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of proven experience in Construction Project Management within the construction management industry, with relevant experience in sectors such as K-12, Higher Education, Municipal, or Healthcare
- 2+ years’ experience with construction systems and documents
- Strong understanding and experience of construction project finances and budget management
- Ability to assess and mitigate project risks effectively
- Proficiency in construction project preconstruction processes
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Business development and client relationship-building experience
- OSHA 30 Hour preferred
