Job Summary
Interfacing with higher education clients and consultants across all project stages, manage detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, health, and environment standards. Lead change control processes, prepare formal progress reports, and facilitate regular meetings to maintain information flow between the team and client. Advise on strategic approaches during project conception and identify business development opportunities for cross-selling. Establish effective project governance and systems, while identifying and escalating quality issues to line managers. Requires seven years of public sector project management experience, including vertical construction, renovations, and tenant improvements. Full-time role based in Los Angeles with daily travel to Santa Barbara client sites; limited remote work. Base salary range $125k-$160k.
Required Qualifications
- Seven (7) years experience as a PM on public sector projects of varying type
- Demonstrated experience working as a Project Manager within the public sector construction industry
- BS degree in construction management, engineering or architecture
- AA degree with sufficient project experience
- Ability to travel every day to client location in Santa Barbara, CA
- Experience managing budgets and schedules
- Experienced managing demanding stakeholders and work stream managers
- Experience working in the state of California

- Experienced in using various PMiS software
- Skilled in MS Office, Adobe, Bluebeam
