Job Summary
Oversee residential and commercial construction projects across California, Texas, and North Carolina from preconstruction through closeout. Build and maintain project schedules, budgets, scopes, and milestone tracking while coordinating subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal stakeholders to keep projects on time and within scope. Review drawings, specifications, proposals, change orders, and project documentation for accuracy, then track costs, approve invoices, manage change orders, and report budget risks. Lead regular meetings with field teams, subcontractors, clients, and leadership to resolve issues, monitor quality, safety, schedule, and compliance expectations, and support permitting, inspections, procurement, and material coordination. Maintain clear project records, status updates, and closeout documentation. This role requires full-time remote work with direct project ownership experience.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction project management experience with direct ownership of residential and commercial projects
- Experience managing projects across multiple job sites, regions, or markets
- Strong understanding of construction schedules, budgets, subcontractor management, drawings, specifications, and closeout requirements
- Experience working with subcontractors, field supervisors, vendors, inspectors, and client-facing project stakeholders
- Proficiency with construction project management tools, scheduling software, spreadsheets, and digital documentation platforms
- Ability to manage projects remotely while maintaining strong communication, accountability, and field visibility
- Must have direct project ownership experience, not only assistant project management or project coordination experience
Desired Qualifications
- Residential-only or commercial-only experience may be considered, but candidates with both residential and commercial project exposure are strongly preferred
