Job Summary
Construction Project Manager responsible for overseeing industrial and commercial construction projects from inception to completion; leads a team of Civil Technologists; manages tender reviews, contracts, planning, procurement, scheduling, and client relations; ensures safety and quality across North America with regular site visits; requires college diploma in Civil Engineering or related field, 5+ years in PM/coordination, PMP asset, proficiency with MS Office and CAD tools, Ontario driver’s license, and up to 25% travel across Canada/US.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a College Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline. A university degree is considered an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project coordination or project management, including at least 4 years in an ICI (Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional) construction management or supervisory role.
- PMP certification is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project management principles, and construction materials.
- Strong knowledge of the Construction Act, CCDC contracts, and CCA documentation.
- Experience reviewing technical drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, or similar design software is considered an asset.
- Previous construction site experience and exposure to field operations.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Previous experience working within ISO 9001 environments is considered an asset.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must hold a valid Ontario Driver's License and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Must be able to travel within Canada and the United States up to 25% of the time.
- Must be able to comply with criminal background checks, drug and alcohol testing requirements, as applicable.
