Construction Project Engineer

Job Summary
Assist the superintendent, project manager, and lead commercial construction projects through daily fieldwork. Responsibilities include scheduling, processing change orders, reviewing work for quality, managing submittals and RFIs, monitoring job site safety, and managing sub-contractors. You will participate in a 3–4-year post-graduate training program featuring 24 unique learning modules designed to prepare you for roles as a project manager, preconstruction manager, or superintendent. The role requires travel across Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Illinois to support rural hospitals and healthcare centers, with up to 6–8 hours from home. Murray Company provides program management, design build, and construction management services to healthcare organizations throughout the Midwest.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel across, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Illinois helping the rural hospitals and healthcare centers
- must be able to travel up to 6-8 hours from home
Desired Qualifications
- 2-3 yr experience industry related experience, preferred
