Construction Project Engineer

Construction Project Engineer at Michael Baker International’s Construction Services team supporting generational infrastructure projects. Plays a key role in delivering large-scale infrastructure and capital improvement projects by working with Project Managers, Resident Engineers, Construction Managers, and inspectors to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Responsibilities include reading/interpreting drawings and specifications, performing field observations, assisting with quantity tracking and pay documentation, preparing daily reports and project records, coordinating with contractors and internal teams to resolve field issues and RFIs, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, ensuring compliance with submittals, coordinating material testing, participating in project meetings, and maintaining change orders and as-built documentation. Requires a Civil Engineering degree (or related field), 1–4 years of experience, EIT/CMIT or ability to obtain, and the ability to work in both office and field environments. Familiarity with CAD or construction management software and proficiency in Microsoft Office are advantageous.
