Job Summary
Document control for RFIs, submittals, change orders, and claims while performing quantity takeoffs and surveys to manage contract progress. Maintain complex subcontracted scopes by defining work scope, answering inquiries, and monitoring progress against design documentation. Coordinate subcontractor submittals for compliance and participation in project start-up activities. Procure construction materials and identify potential risks on project scopes. Assist site managers in project delivery, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with federal construction project requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture
- 4–6 years of construction experience in an operational role
- Detailed knowledge of construction equipment and techniques
- Detailed knowledge of drawings and specifications
- Detailed knowledge of project health, safety, and environment (HSE)
- Detailed knowledge of quality
- Detailed knowledge of building materials
- Detailed knowledge of required standards as per subject area
- Ability to apply basic engineering/problem-solving principles to construction challenges
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to prioritize own work
- Ability to direct-report tasks
- Ability to create and lead schedules a comprehensive scale
- Proven understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven understanding of internal operational systems
- Strong skills for embracing new technology
Desired Qualifications
