Job Summary
Construction Project Engineer responsible for planning, coordination, and execution of Summit County resort projects in Breckenridge. Develop project schedules, budgets, and material estimates; review drawings for feasibility, code compliance, and engineering standards; assist in subcontractor negotiations and procurement; coordinate documentation across disciplines; evaluate shop drawings and submittals; manage RFIs; oversee inspections, testing, and surveying; ensure environmental permit compliance and regulatory adherence; coordinate labor and site workflow; enforce safety and quality on-site; conduct safety inspections; maintain project drawings and compliance documentation; lead punch-list activities and final quality checks; train and mentor construction staff; facilitate meetings and prepare progress reports while upholding customer service and sustainability standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and construction experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction project coordination, field operations, or engineering support
- Experience supervising subcontractors, crews, or project team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and contracts
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean record
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to lead teams, collaborate, and adapt in fast-paced environments
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and compliance
- Work on active construction sites (walking, standing, climbing)
- Lift up to 45 lbs
- Work in outdoor weather conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise)
