Job Summary
Construction Project Coordinator for the VA Medical Center project in Puerto Rico. Responsibilities include overseeing planning, design, and construction, conducting site visits, developing maintenance plans and SOPs for hospital tools and supplies, coordinating with hospital staff and contractors, monitoring construction progress, managing budgets and cost estimates, ensuring adherence to hospital building codes and safety standards, organizing design reviews, reviewing contractor submittals, overseeing quality control for mechanical systems, coordinating tenant relocation, and providing regular progress reports. Requires at least an Associate's degree, 10+ years of technical project coordination experience (preferably in architecture/engineering), proficiency in Microsoft Office and document control, OSHA training, and Spanish language preference. This role emphasizes alignment with medical facility requirements and regulations, and collaboration with facility managers and contractors to ensure timely project completion.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Arts or Science
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in technical project coordination
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; documentation control and updating project schedules
- Experience in maintaining project records; progress reports
- Completed 10-hour OSHA Safety Training
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred
