Job Summary
Support Project Managers in administering commercial construction projects from contract award through closeout by coordinating startup activities, maintaining project files, and tracking permits. Manage routing and distribution of documents including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes while monitoring turnaround times in Procore. Assist with subcontract administration, owner pay applications, and cost reporting to ensure accurate financial documentation. Collaborate with field teams to resolve administrative issues impacting schedule, budget, or quality, and coordinate material procurement and delivery schedules. Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items to facilitate communication among owners, architects, and subcontractors. Maintain accurate project records and support project closeout activities including warranty collection and final turnover packages.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field or equivalent construction industry experience
- 2+ years of experience in commercial construction project coordination, project administration, or a related role
- Working knowledge of commercial construction processes, project lifecycles, and contract documentation
- Experience managing construction documents, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project correspondence
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
