Job Summary
Manage all project-related accounting functions, including job cost tracking, invoicing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for a large-scale state-funded construction project. Monitor and analyze project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets, while tracking, validating, and processing subcontractor payments and change orders. Prepare monthly cost reports, variance analyses, and cash flow projections, and ensure compliance with state regulations, contract requirements, and audit standards. Track Minority Business Enterprise, Women Business Enterprise, and Veteran Business Enterprise participation and support diversity and inclusion reporting to state agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of experience in construction or project accounting, preferably on large public or state-funded projects
- Proficiency in construction/project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, Autodesk)
- Strong understanding of project controls, cost management, and forecasting methodologies
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
- Strong planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills

- Experience with government compliance, audits, and reporting requirements
