Job Summary
Partner with territory sales representatives to identify equipment opportunities, grow market share, and deliver solutions that maximize customer productivity and uptime. Conduct jobsite visits, product demonstrations, and equipment presentations while developing relationships with paving contractors, municipalities, and asphalt producers. Serve as the subject matter expert for CAT asphalt pavers, compactors, and paving technologies, providing application guidance, troubleshooting support, and product training to customers and internal teams. Monitor market trends, competitive products, and customer buying patterns to recommend optimal equipment solutions. Collaborate with rental, service, parts, and product support teams to coordinate inventory planning and maximize customer uptime.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in paving equipment, heavy equipment sales, construction operations, or a related field
- Strong understanding of asphalt paving operations and paving equipment applications
- Technical aptitude and mechanical understanding of heavy equipment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Consultative approach to solving customer challenges
- Ability to conduct equipment demonstrations and customer training
- Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Caterpillar paving equipment preferred
- Spanish bilingual skills are a plus
