Job Summary
Manage modular construction projects from contract to completion by establishing safety requirements, supervising direct reports, and leading scheduling, budget, and document management. Enforce OSHA compliance through tailgate meetings and site inspections, while procuring subcontractors and suppliers to meet strict timeframes and budgets. Utilize BuilderTrend software to track progress, manage documentation, and report milestones, risks, and dependencies to regional leadership. Chair project team meetings, resolve change requests, and mentor project support staff including superintendents. Conduct approximately 50% regional travel to job sites. This role supports the company's commitment to safety and quality in the modular building industry.
Required Qualifications
- 5- 8 years construction related experience
- Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
- Technically competent with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project Management Software
- Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with excellent prioritization and time management skills
- Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of safety field concepts, practices and procedures
- Well organized with excellent customer service skills
- Skilled at negotiation with customers and vendors/subcontractors
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects
- Experience at directing the work of others to ensure project completion and success
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction plans
- Valid Driver's License
- Regional travel to job sites will be required (approximately 50%)
Desired Qualifications
- Modular building industry experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management
- Knowledge in Division of State Architect (DSA)
- Knowledge of the International Building Code (IBC)
- OSHA 30 Certified
- Knowledge of approval agencies and process for State Requirements
- Experience with Bluebeam and CAD software for reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and plans
