Job Summary
Leads and mentors a crew of millwrights on job sites across the United States, primarily Midwest travels, to install and service industrial equipment including conveyors, dryers, and burners. Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures, dismantles and moves machinery, welds components, installs piping and dust systems, constructs foundations, aligns and tests machinery, and ensures safety, quality, and project goals. Supervises millwrights on site, coordinates work with foremen/superintendents, and escalates deficiencies. Requires experience with GMAW/FCAW welding, blueprints, and knowledge of conveyors, bearings, and weld defects; strong planning and leadership abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in GMAW or FCAW welding processes
- Working knowledge of blueprints
- Can work independently
- Experience with Conveyor systems, bearings, and general equipment desired
- Ability to develop, layout, and plan sequence of operations
- Knowledge of weld defects and discontinuities
